Espresso

A really nice editor--very elegant. Fatal flaw (at least for me) is the continued lack of syntax checking. IMHO, you can't have a professional level tool without this.

LinkThing Safari Extension

It seems the latest update is causing problems--link settings only work intermittently. Have to disable it for now.

Hands Off!
Velgor242 commented on 23 Jun 2011
VERY disappointed in the developer for not releasing a compatibility update in time for OS 10.6.8. I just lost two hours of my time troubleshooting kernel panics due to Hands Off. This update should have been released days in advance of the OS update, NOT after.

I agree with the other posters re: downloading of additional files upon launch--VERY disconcerting. All application resources should be within the application bundle or installer from the get go.

As far as usability, it too isn't very Mac-like. Modal dialogs appear to be Flash-ish and the features are lacking (no repeating tasks?). And don't get me started on stability--crash city here.

In all, this app has a ways to go.

SOHO Notes

Velgor242 reviewed on 04 Dec 2009
I don't understand all the negativity surrounding Chronos. Perhaps I've been lucky, but not only has SOHO Notes not crashed on me, I'm now syncing hundreds of PDFs (encrypted and otherwise) to my iPhone without incident. I've also been corresponding with Chronos support the past couple of days over a small sync issue and they responded to my initial query within 24 hours. I guess your mileage may vary.

SecretBox

Not liking the new version. As a data application, I want to be in and out as quickly as possible. The cube animation is just a waste of CPU cycles. Also there are some glaring usability issues: the giant icons have to go--not all of us are running 27" iMacs. Also, the app still can't seem to remember how wide I want the sidebar to be.

Looks like this product is abandonware. A shame really as it had great potential.

Great to hear:) How about fixing some of the problems your users are having. Sync is utterly busted. It's been well over a year since the last update.

Actually, may not be over a year, but it seams that way;)

Why would anyone pay $135 for this? I purchased a $25 micro USB hard drive and installed Leopard onto it with all my utilities. New Mac? No problem, just update to the latest OS. Micromat is nuts.

Stuf

Having tried most of the clipboard applications out there, I have to say this is one of the better ones. The UI is fabulous, stability great and usability is getting there. The dev is VERY responsive and seems committed to the app, unlike some others out there. I look forward to offering my thanks for the effort by purchasing a license.
