Clipstart

Timhere reviewed on 13 May 2010
I've been looking for a way to catalogue the thousands of video clips I've shot over the years, from crappy little things filmed on old mobile phones right up to high-def clips shot on a compact camera. Though itunes & iphoto and supposedly, iMovie can handle films, none fo them are up to the task of cataloguing them correctly. iLife really needs a new program to deal with this kind of thing, or give iMovie the same library handling as iPhoto has for movies. In the mean time - Clipstart is not too bad - it's really very basic and a little anaemic on features but with a great deal of polish could really become useful. So far, apart from a few stalls, and after a great deal of looking, it's the best thing I've found for the job.

Have used this app for YEARS. But to have to pay for what is essentially a minor update - compatibility with Snow Leopard - seems incredibly tight. I'll go elsewhere.
