Flagit!
Tastyapps Dev commented on 21 Jun 2011
Hi guys!

Trust me when I say: if we could have our way, we would not have dropped Flagit! on Lion. It is one fun project to work with, and we love it - and use it ourselves internally. But as Misha pointed out, (thanks Misha!) it is becoming harder and harder to try and fight Apple on this. They simply do not want plugins in Apple Mail.

We have not said a whole lot on the matter, as we are bound by Apple's NDA; we always planned on posting a thorough blog post when Lion did come out.

We sincerely apologize to all who feel wronged, but we believed it was best to let you guys knwo *now*, rather then after Lion comes out. That way, you have some time to turn around and plan ahead.

Videobox
Tastyapps Dev commented on 18 Mar 2010
Hello everyone,

I am the developer of Videobox here at TastyApps. I want to apologize for all the trouble and confusion... But a lot of this *is* confusion. TastyApps created SpiceRack in response to SIMBL (formerly the mechanism used by our apps) not being developed fast enough and being totally invisible. We thought we neede to be totally transparent, hence the preference pane so you can manage your plugins in one easy place.

Now, that being said, there were some bugs in the initial versions (like all softwares) and we have worked hard fixing the software and improving it all around. There is now an uninstall button in the preference pane, for instance.

So I can;t claim it's perfect, for sure, but it's not as bad as some of you are saying - please, be honest and fair. Plus, posting rants and bugs here is *not* the way to make an application better: you should always contact the developer because, in the end, only they can fix bugs...
