Hands down the best torrent client for Mac. A RSS reader would be the only feature I could think of that's currently missing.

This looks fishy to say the least. Their website is riddled with false reviews that don't link through. I.e. they list a 5 star rating with MacUpdate on their homepage which, as you can see for yourself, is not true. The ratings here seem unrealistically high for a program that has just reached version 1.0.2. Did no one experience any bugs at all? They also list a review from MacWord that doesn't exist and list their product in Google ads as recommended by MacRumors which also doesn't seem to be correct.

I can't speak for the quality of the software, I never tried it. If you have the guts to do so, please go ahead and let us all know ;)

VueScan

One of those great apps for mobile users. Wherever you are, the scanner that's there always works with Vuescan. Given the huge amount of updates the developer is pushing out it's really hard to understand why this app won't auto-update itself. The integration of SANE seems like a really good idea as well (I believe was/is on the roadmap?).

Bought v1 for the great search engine that really saved me a lot of time finding my weekly television shows. However it's prone to crashes and doesn't seem to handle big torrents very well. Most torrent sites block this client as well.

Didn't bother to upgrade to v2 but instead switched to Transmission. Great client, free as well and lightweight.

Does the job well for Apple Mail but no Entourage support out of the box. Got stuck while uploading at some point but resuming was flawless.

Data Rescue

Great app, works as advertised and the eye candy doesn't impede the excellent core functionality. Worked with version X and was still able to upgrade to 3.x for $ 65, a fair price. App works with PC file systems and recovers a lot of data, no questions asked. Had some bad experiences with flaky USB drives (everlasting scans that led to nowhere) but I understand hardware errors are hard to detect over USB and therefore difficult to work around.

One to keep in your toolbox, next to Disk Warrior of course.

Mozy came a long way, from not being able to install when a Filevault image was present to long hangs, unexplained crashes and terrible performance.

However things are a lot better now. There are regular updates, support in my experience takes your claim serious but can't always solve it immediately and performance keeps getting better. The free alternative works well if you consider the price and their efforts to build a Mac backup client (that supports a private key) that will backup your most essential files when you're away from your comfy Time Capsule deserves a better review IMHO than those listed here.

Now why does one client has the 'all documents' option and mine doesn't? ;)

Software is buggy, will successfully update your firmware and then crash when it's trying to upload the icon you chose. The Porsche Mobile icon seems to work fine, select it and you can update your drive.
