Intel Macs can boot from USB. PPC machines cannot be booted from USB. You will have to use FireWire for those.

This program uses standard http connections - which for most shared connections should work ok... what do you mean by Proxied ? I personally use an XP server as my proxy and it works fine... Ive tried my airport base station and that also works OK... the QA department uses a cable modem router as the proxy... What type are you using that does not work ? if your web browser works so should this (it is after all a standard - port 80 http web connection like almost all web browsing). I ask because it is important to me - and to the rest of the company that this works FOR YOU (we only do what we do so that we can make sure it works for everyone else). Let us know what you are using and will adjust accordingly.

Always keen to add features to the program, but Im not sure what you mean by "random desktop pictures" (unless you mean what is already built into OSX)

More details please and Ill happily add it in.

alexmathew: It will update the image every 3 hours if it is left open (you can close the window, just leave the app open). The suppliers of the image update their image every 3 hours so it is generally not worth updating any faster than that.

This program DOES set it as your desktop picture (not just it's own internal window) but you need to wait until the cloud map is downloaded before it will do this (or his the button to set the desktop picture - there is only one button)
