I am hoping that this review helps another user avoid the CRAP that is this application. I have been using it for a couple of days now, and it will randomly destroy a file that it tags, resulting in a blank, black screen for the entire MP4. I thought I was having issues with my drive or the method of import, but a quick check here and I've seen that I'm not alone.
DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE. It will only result in heartache!
If it was TOTALLY broken and just didn't work that would actually be better, since you wouldn't start loading up the queue with your ripped movies to tag, only to have it erase about 25% of them when it's done.
So - anyone have a similar program that they use that is SAFE? Got plenty of time to do some research while I'm re-ripping DVDs that MetaX destroyed.
It appears that there is a new development of this package called "MetaZ" that isn't listed on MacUpdate. Apparently someone is trying to keep this software alive, but since the new build isn't listed here, I can't find any objective feedback regarding it. There is also "iDentify" that looks like it has a similar functionality.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Even if I do opt to just edit tags through iTunes itself, there are certain tags that aren't accessible so if you want to fiddle with them, you are out of luck unless you use another program to edit the tags.
Thanks in advance.
