Sssnnaapshot had trouble on 15 May 2010

I need to know how to remove this from my mac. I no longer want it and it wont let me get rid of it. I now have a "Art Text" icon on my screen that will no go away, I cannot "eject" because it says that the program is ni use when it is not. Help, please?
