Love this free widget and want to use it all the time - it can deal with the CSS tags with ease, but I just can't work out how to get it to correctly post the title, thus it doesn't update my RSS feed. I have to manually go into Blogger, break the post up (even though I specified the correct CSS) and republish, which sort of defies the point for using the widget at all. I know there's probably a way, but I've scored ita 2 on features because of the lack of (a) a title field or (b) some instructions as to how to sort this out. 1.1 feature maybe?
Apart from that detail, big respect and thanks to the developer for creating it and getting it so stable and user friendly. I will continue to use it as its quite a covert way to blog at work (lol) but will be looking into how to get this title sorted. Want to score all 5's!
Love this app, the only solution for me. But why does it connect to homepage.mac.com upon first launch?
If its just so the developer can get an idea of how many people are using his software then cool - but any other info about my Mac and myself and I'd be a bit reluctant to launch this prog.
Maybe he could explain this here.
But don't get me wrong, I use this all day every day. Great software.
Just 2 minor glitches:
- Some smileys don't work because theres so many I suppose. Maybe there should be a custom icon interface in the preferences so you could assign something like :applause: to a GIF manually - I use 1 room all the time and this would be a welcome option. A floating smiley window even.
- Sometimes Conversation cancels the shutdown process, even though it has been successfully quit/ended by the finder during shutdown.
These 2 things addressed, and clarification of what information is sent to the dev, would make this perfect IMO.
I too got it to work first time once I had bought a decent ethernet modem/router.
But on the other hand I used a USB DSL modem before (bundled with Tiscali broadband) and the broadcast fell over itself - like 20 minutes of audio in 10 secs! I originally thought it may be my hard drive being too slow or the fact its running off an iMac 233, but they are both ruled out now with the new modem. All that leaves is for me to DJ on my favourite radio staion on Monday!! Only thing is I can use up to 256kb and they only want 64 :)
