I've used BookDog, and now BookMacster ever since I've started with Macs several years ago. It's a tour de force in bookmarking maintenance, encompassing almost every conceivable option to create, edit, sync, validate and archive bookmarks. I really love the flexibility it gives me to tailor my bookmarks to exactly the way I want them to appear.
But because of this enormous flexibility, its ease of use is an order of magnitude more difficult than its predecessor - BookDog. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the myriad of options and when to use them (or maybe more importantly, when not to). That's why I only gave 3 stars to Ease of Use. I really think that the implementation of Wizards for its most common functions would go a long way to giving BookMacster a more mainline appeal, and help prevent the user from making catastrophic choices (like accidentally wiping out your entire bookmark collection).
It's real nice to get rid of that drab gray apple upon bootup. I never could understand why Apple, a vibrant technological company, would "dumb down" its premier icon to dull gray.
Well that phase of Apple's growth is done with on my Macs :D What about a change to get rid of Microsoft's gray flag? That change would be equally - if not more - welcome on my system.
I used XLD to convert my entire 500 GB .FLAC audio library (~ 19K tracks)to iTunes Loseless (.ALAC). XLD worked wonderfully, better than all my expectations.
I tried several other Mac audio conversion apps, but none worked as well as, nor is so well maintained by its developers.
I like QuickBoot over the alternatives in that it gives me all the possible choices for booting. I have the SL install DVD in its own partition, along with 2 separate clones and Win 7 x64. With QuickBoot, I can easily run any one of them.
beaTunes is indispensable for cleaning up tags where I have multiple ratings for the same songs, or little-used genres, misspellings, etc. It works directly with my iTunes database, so I don't need to drag-n-drop files onto it to analyze them. The only thing missing in my book is album art, but I use TuneUp for that work.
Developer is very responsive and puts out version updates with regularity.
