Beats the heck out of the built-in decompresser. Wish it could be brought to the front more easily (haven't checked that out in the new version I just downloaded).
Am I really still playing this game after all these years? Really? (Yes, really!) While it has simplistic graphics compared to Realms of Wowcraft or whatever other fancy games there are now, and the inventory system is kinda kludgy (I keep forgetting that I have certain items, because they're further down the list), I enjoy all the Avernum games mainly *for* their simplicity. I can wander around for hours.
I can't give this any rating. I ran it on my PPC G5 with 10.5.8, all it did was put a warning message way up in the upper left hand corner, with an OK button that doesn't work. Force Quit to move on with my life. Oh, and it broke one of my FireFox addons, which I had to uninstall/reinstall to make work again. As far as I'm concerned it's crap.
It's called TenFourFox because it's a PPC version of Firefox 4, not because it works on 10.4 only. Firefox 4 dropped support for PPC. Firefox 3.6 is still maintained for 10.4.
I won't do a review of this app, because I really don't like it. I dislike its GUI and its filing system, and it didn't even convert my file to PDF which is all I wanted (the output is a series of blank pages). I may be doing something wrong; I'm not inclined to spend much time learning how it works just to convert a file, which should be simple and obvious.
I love Burn. Burn is the only app I found that would make MP3 discs that work in my truck's stereo, other than using Windows. It's also the best app for making proper UDF DVDs for data backup. I've just found out about the update from January, hope it continues to be the best!
I'd like RipIt more if it would actually stop when encountering a problem with a disc, instead of crashing every single time. If a disc has the slightest scratches, RipIt stops working, says theres a problem, but when you try to stop the program, it asks you if you really want to stop the rip in progress (never mind that it's been stalled for half an hour), then becomes unresponsive whether you click yes or no. This would seem to be a bug.
(I downloaded a fresh copy today to try this again. It still does it.)

I have to rate it, or I can't submit, which is stupid; I have no specific opinion of the features or ease or anything because I can't run it.
