I'm a longtime user of Saft. One thing I really like is the Safari shortcuts (eg: "mu" in the address bar for MacUpdate and "dict WORD" to look up a word on dictionary.com). I looked at the Glims homepage and didn't see anything like this. Can anyone tell me if this feature is available?
Hmmmmmm........ I installed the new 10.6.2 update on my MacBook (2.2 GHz, 4 GB) and now neither the date/time nor Airport icons appear in my menubar. Internet connectivity doesn't seem to be affected. I tried to check "show clock in menubar" in the System Prefs, but it won't stay checked. I fixed permissions after install, but no go. Any ideas?
BILLEARL: I found the fix, at least in my case. I suspected Spotless because it messes with Menu Items. The fix is to open Spotless, select Preferences from the Spotless menu, select Spotlight Menu, then toggle the "Hide the Spotlight Menu Item" checkbox.
That could be my problem. I'd removed my Spotlight icon using some Terminal commands, but I don't remember what they were. :-O

I tried, but no difference. Must be a software conflict.
