A simple web browser like this is a good idea but this software has bugs: one can not copy links to paste into a new window, key shortcuts don't exist, the window size can not be adjusted. It is not clear if there is any cookie collection either. Safari flashblock does work with this as well - I'm running this under 10.6.8
I tried this and it works fairly well and is fun to play but be warned that when you have a swarm of monsters after you, the graphics quality may start to hiccup.
I've used Powerpoint and LibreOffice for presentations and find Keynote to be comparable but not exceptional. There are many little inconsistencies and bugs that keep cropping up, especially with the assignment of fonts inside of master pages. I spend more time setting and resetting font assignments than anything else in Keynote. I also get bombs when importing Powerpoint or LibreOffice presentations into Keynote as well.
Apple does not provide adequate attention to dealing with the bugs and problems in their own software, IMHO and, because of that, LibreOffice is a better deal since it is free and updated more often.
For those people that also use an iPad for presentations; until LibreOffice comes out in an iOS version, Keynote is more useful for those that use an iPad for presentations.
This application can transfer files without using Apple's iTunes, which I don't use and have thrown out. The application still insists on trying to download iTunes however, which is very much unwelcomed.
The user interface is pretty simple, as it should be and does what it should. The only problem is that sometimes the application bombs, for example, the first time I go to the "Photos", it bombs. Upon reopening, I can view the photos on the attached iPad.
Overall, this is a useful application.
I also find a really BIG bug when I try to access the "photo" part of diskaid. Out of three attempts, DA bombed once, worked once and last, froze up so that I could not force quit DA and had to restart the computer. Other than that, it works find.
One has to click on the scroll bar to view the listings and this is very awkward since it is difficult to find where one listing ends and a new one begins. This needs improvement before I would use it.
The concept behind this app is its greatest flaw and is reflected when I try to use it. If the user buys an Apple in another country and activates an account with Apple, this app only displays the store and language from that country so this means that if you are from the UK or America and can't read French or Japanese and you're Apple product was activated there, you are out of luck unless you jump through the additional hoops of creating a new Apple ID and linking that to a credit card back in your country and even then there can be problems.
This application is functions based upon where your credit card is from and not what language you want to use on your iGadget!
This also means that Apple can and will determine what software you install on your Mac and how you can install and run it.
I am really impressed with the ease and quickness of this application. There were no failures ripping a DVD that was otherwise unreadable on my MacPro, using VLC or Movist. The GUI and user experience is excellent. The price is modest as well.
