This is interesting. Under the term "Shareware" I understand, as properly indicated in the software, that I get to use all the features for a certain number of days. Here however, it works as such:
1) You get a screen telling you that you have a 10 day trial.
2) You try to use the app, but it's actually limited like a demo.
What is it now, Shareware or Demo?
That aside, it uses a lot of RAM and thanks to its restrictions, does not give me enough reasons to pay 50 dollars for something like this.
Seriously developer, shorten your alerts' dialogues and create a proper trial.
How's the AppStore a guarantee that an app is great and awesome? Apple is a business, they want to earn money too and they do through application sales. There's no money back guarantee and even if there was:
The app on the MacApp store is the same as you're offering here, which means all the problems I posted about above are still there. So I really don't understand the point you're making.
To be honest, I don't understand quite the fuss about the price here. I wanted an app, which allows me to manage my cookies without me going through every single one. As I like to experiment with different browsers I want to manage all of them in one app. After reading up a bit on cookies, tracking etc I have come to appreciate this application during its beta and have bought it now. The app is feature-rich and covers all the bases. I like it.
