Unfortunately, it's incompatible with Snow Leopard. I'm missing my favourite screensaver!

Not quite Crystal Ball but *free* and iWork-enabled. I love it. Thank you so much!

No longer free, and still not Crystal Ball, but still very decent.

Honestly, Red Pill is better, and it's free. No guilt trips either.

Namely

Namely is always the first utility I install on any Mac.

Its ease of use is simply incredible. It is designed for a single task and it acquits itself flawlessly.

Brilliant, simply brilliant.

Enigma Simulator
qubex commented on 19 Aug 2007
This is really very amusing. I particularly enjoy the Steckerbrett (sp?) animation.

Do you expect to create a 'Naval Enigma' version (i.e., a four-rotor Enigma)?

Capriccio

qubex reviewed on 24 Apr 2007
Weak.

I don't really get why there's a market for an expensive replacement to free iTunes, which incidentally orders of magnitude superior in every respect to this.

It's ugly, lacking features, and barely operable.

Seriously... what's it for? I'm really confused.

My sincerest compliments for authoring one of the corniest pieces of software *ever*.

I have an acquired taste for all things kitsch.

I've tried to purchase the product but PayPall throws up a "problem with seller's website" error.

Keyword Manager
qubex had trouble on 26 Oct 2007
The latest Apple iLife update + Leopard install has killed Keyword Manager. It no longer appears in iPhoto. Uninstalling/reinistalling doesn't work.

Any idea when it'll be fixed? It has become second nature to me by now, I can't work without it!

Facebook Exporter for iPhoto
qubex had trouble on 15 Aug 2007
Having this plugin installed blocks the Export feature of the new version of iPhoto (7.0.1). I had to go /Applications/iPhoto/Contents/Plugins (or whatever the path is, can't quite remember now) to remove it manually and restore functionality.

Pity, because I find it really useful.

Apple Security Update
qubex had trouble on 14 Sep 2004
v. 1.0 screwed up my finder (volumes would remain in the sidebar even after they had been ejected) and my sound - sometimes after Sleep my machine would just produce loud static whenever audio was meant to be played.

v. 1.1 seems to have fixed the Finder issue - though it could be that it merely hasn't had the time to manifest itself again, yet. Sound is still broken.

Very, very annoyed and very, very disappointed.
