I just download Skim and I cannot get it to add underlines, highlights, or strikeout. I assume it is because I am not selecting the text, but when I go into the tools menu and I select text tools, the cursor changes the mini hand and I cannot select any text, it just moves the PDF around. When I go to the tools menu and chose the select tool and then select the text I want highlighted and then select highlight nothing happens except the "beep" which occurs when you pick something that does not have a function. What is going on? This is driving me crazy. Is there some type of protection that I have to turn off? I am using MacBook with the latest OS. I am trying to integrate this with Scrivener, Papers, and Zotero for managing my dissertation.
