I'm interested in and using apps to get my work done faster and better. I love well-designed apps like Transmit, BusyCal, and OmniGraffle. Some of the utility apps I use are KeyCue, Keyboard Maestro, LaunchBar, and TextExpander. Some lesser-known older utility apps I like include Backdrop, Alarm Clock 2, and LoversClock.

I have all three apps from Indev.ca: Mail ActOn, MailTags, and Mail Perspective. They are all so well thought through and just work! You can buy their apps individually or in bundles. Mail ActOn allows to define both Inbox and Outbox action rules. You can for instance file outgoing emails by rules and send actions to OmniFocus. The developer is so responsive and helpful.
TotalFinder is a replacement of the Finder with added features. Once one gets used to having those features, it is really hard to give those features up again. Using a mac without TotalFinder is painful after having used TotalFinder. I have been using TotalFinder for 6 months now, and bought version 1.0 the day it became available. It makes using a GUI Finder fun, faster, and more flexible. Like BusyCal is what Calendar should have been, TotalFinder is what Finder should have been. This is one of my best investments for the mac. The licensing terms are very reasonable: you can choose between installing on multiple computers, or install for multiple users on a single computer, and you can buy 3 license at the cost of approximately 2 licenses.
Browsing through the comments here, most of the comments here praise the software for its features, its value, and its usability. The negative comments are mostly on a so-so bug-reporting system, a bit aggressive push towards buying if someone is trying out the software, someone not receiving a license number, some bugs still present, and the sort. Minor items that can be annoyances but really shouldn't withhold anyone from benefiting from this software. Take it for a spin, ignore the buy-now reminders, and enjoy Finder the way it should have been. I do.
