Tested as working:
• Mac OS X 10.6.5 on an Intel MacBook
• TI-83 Plus connected via TI-Graph Link USB to TI-Connect v1.8
Using the data editor if I save the program first to my MacBook then send to the device all subsequent edits to the program done on my MacBook are automatically uploaded to the device. Everything appears to work just make sure the calculator is on when doing uploads or downloads.
Release notes for v1.8.
WHAT'S NEW IN THIS VERSION

Version 1.7:

• Universal Binary for both PowerPC and Intel architectures
• Enhanced screen capture capabilities
• Enhanced screen movie recording ability
• Corrected problems with accessing TI Online Store via TI Software Update and TI OS Restore
• Updated ability to deal with image drags to device
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.6
PowerPC or Intel-architecture Macintosh
Programs installed
TI Connect X.app
TI Data Editor.app
TI Device Explorer.app
TI OS Restore.app
TI Software Update.app
UnInstall TI Connect X.command
A really good update v1.8
• the new skins look good
• the library is much faster
• browse mode
• iTunes playlist support
• the waveforms load much faster
• nice to see better support for dj controllers
• loops
• auto dj (crossfading a feature iTunes should have had long ago)
What I like
• not having to dig through hierarchies of folders or irrelevant spotlight results to open commonly used files and folders
• an alternative to creating a folder and having to drag shortcuts into it
What could be better
• icons for file types, folders in menu etc.
• maybe a preference to order items in menu by how many times they are clicked so popular items are ordered higher up the list
• a global keyboard shortcut as a preference to add an item
I've just tried v2.7 packages on 10.6 however it hasn't worked for me. Twain Sane used to work on 10.5 but the same configuration doesn't work on 10.6.
Fortunately I dual boot (using refit efi boot menu) with Ubuntu 9.04 (fast startup, shutdown) on my MacBook 1.1 and my Canon CanoScan N670U works out the box with the SANE application that is preinstalled. The Linux application offers many more options and does a great job. For Scanners which aren't Mac supported I suggest this alternative. Afterwards simply copy the files onto a usb stick and transfer into Mac OS X.
Just a caution on installation, don't have any apps using audio/video open. I had iChat open and the installer for soundflower hanged, as soon as I closed iChat the installation completed.
