A deficit is the amount by which expenditure exceeds income in an annual (or some other) budget. The debt is the accumulated amount owed. So this is really a debt counter.

A couple of suggestions:
Subtasks, or items under headings
When a task or notebook is created, title could already be selected so you could just type the name without having to click in it first.
Press Enter on the keyboard rather than having to click on OK.

This doesn't work at all. Whatever radio stream I try to play, a window appears saying some components are needed (text/html), but in the box below that where the necessary components are supposed to be listed and downloadable, it's blank. In the discussion area of the Real site, a staff person posted instructions (from Oct. 2008) for what to do to fix this, but they didn't help.
There are fewer and fewer radio streams that are not playable in iTunes. Good thing!

Adobe Reader

When Adobe Reader launches, it asks if you want it to be the default application for opening PDF files. I've been tempted because it has more capability than Preview, but I've always said no because it takes so long to launch. I just installed ver. 9.1.3 and it launches instantly. This time, I checked yes.

Yahoo! Widget Engine

My favorite Yahoo Widget was the Daily Planner, which would show you what's in iCal for today and tomorrow. But it hasn't worked since Leopard. (The Dashboard widget iCal Events can be moved to the desktop, but dashboard widgets always float above everything and won't go into the background.) Yahoo support has been stalling for three months. Today they suggested updating the Widget Engine to version 4.5.2, which, unfortunately, doesn't exist.

There was a Yahoo Widget that did the same thing, but it doesn't work with Leopard. It would show items for today AND tomorrow, which was great. The Today developer says they're working on this feature, which MIGHT make it worth the $.

My old scanner is an Epson Perfection 636U. It's a good one, but for some reason, Epson never made a driver for OSX. I could use it with ImageCapture, but when I installed Leopard, it wouldn't work anymore. It became obsolete. Now with Twain Sane, it works with ImageCapture. It is obsolete no more. Larry Klein is right--there are many parts to install, but if you do so in the right order, it works just fine.

Every time I start or stop playing a station in PandoraMan, a blank window opens in Safari. Does anyone know why that happens? If I don't close each window, after a while I have quite a few open.
