You owe it to yourself to give it a try. It makes interacting with windows so much faster, and so much more enjoyable... No more aiming for corners and bars. No more multi-step re-sizing. Once you start using it, you'll wonder how you lived without it.
Seems to cut out every now and then, including on Snow Leopard.
