1. The Audio and Video equalisers do not keep the settings specified upon a player restart.
2. If one uses headphones for the sound and then he removes them while the player is playing a file the sound is not redirected to the speakers and the sound output stops. A similar thing happens when one suddenly inserts a set of headphones: the sound stops and does not get redirected to the headphones.
This is the best video player on MacOS X at this moment. However, I noticed a problem with this version: when the player is running, if the user double-clicks on a video file on Finder, the player does not load the selected video file. This only works if the player is not currently running. Also, on my MacBook Pro occasionally I hear some distortions to the sound of video files played by this player (in older versions as well) but I fixed the problem by specifying the additional option "-af volume=0:0". Shouldn't that be the default setting?
When I select the Open option from the menu I get a window with the error message:
(ValueError: depythonifying 'pointer', got 'int')
I get the same error when I am trying to create a torrent and after I press the Generate button. Finally, when I open the Python Console from the Debug menu and I press enter on the console window I get a window with the following error message:
(TypeError: 'int' object is not callable)
Anyone else with the same problems? I am on Tiger 10.4.4
In order for someone to pay for a BitTorrent client, the application must be rather exceptional in features, performance etc. compared to all the other free offerings. This version is not. I would be willing to pay for a client if it offered the features of Azureus, the performance of Transmission and the graphics of Bits on Wheels. Until then...
There seems to be a conflict between the current version of Hear (1.0.2) and the Skype client on Mac (2.7.0.330). When Hear is running and I make a phone call with Skype, it rings for two or three times and then Skype crashes. Similarly, if I receive a phone call then after a few seconds Skype crashes. I have been unable to make or receive a phone call with Hear 1.0.2 but I had no such problem with any of the previous versions. When I uninstalled the application from my Mac Skype started working without any problems.
I finally discovered the source of my problems with the BitTorrent client: The Default Folder X application interfers with its operation. When I close it, the problems go away. Therefore the conclusion is that if you want to use the BitTorrent client you'd better switch off Default Folder X.
[Version 4.4]
