This is nothing but a "one-page-browser" (google's search page) showing the translation window. If by mistake you press one of google's tabs you "forever" surf away from the translation window and need to quit and re-launch ... If google translation web was a convenient one, I'd might think to keep this mini-browser. But google translation page is inconvenient (like most of their applications - see picasa). Thus, I trashed this application 5 seconds after I installed it. Google, your search engine is wonderful, and that's about it.
The more I use it - the more I hate ADOBE's products. Illustrator SUCKS ! As soon as another manufacturer will provide a reasonable tool for basic 3D graphics I'll (gladly) switch ...
Leftnotracks u r right that the 3D effects of AI are "weak". But this is about the level of combination between 2D and 3D effects that I need. Is there another software that does similar type of things (I used Canvas, but it is obsolete in Lion).
Great application. Identifies each and every device on the net (just hit a couple of times on the Scan button). The only feature I miss is the ability to assign names to the different MAC numbers (devices).
But the map functionality (for this 1 star) this is an AWFUL software. The face recognition is lousy (at best), the GUI is terrible, the way the program scans my mobile devices that are connected to the computer without letting me controlling that. GOOGLE stop snoozing into my devices and life, you know about me more than I want anyway. If anyone will be kind enough to explain how to migrate all the data (location and faces) to iPhoto I'll appreciate it.
After a long delay due to the fact that Lion is not supporting PPC applications anymore (which took me sometime to replace), and the fact that 10.6 was a great OS, I finally switched. I'm glad I did! The only drawback is that my old iPhone 3 cannot be synchronized with iCloud. However, the new features, the gestures, the way my PB responses are just great - 5 stars Apple. Oh, and the fact that after restart I go back directly to the state I was before ...
Current version (i.e. 2.96) is worse than the previous one. It is buggy (give you incorrect MAC numbers) and slow (takes forever to find wireless smart devices, if it finds it at all).
I HATE ADOBE ! Just purchased the CS5.5 (as my CANVAS is obsolete on Lion). After entering the code I received with the "product", got a note saying that "this serial number is not valid for this product". ADOBE is the WORST company ever ... I wish they'll cease.
Now this program continue to puzzle me. Here is a new 4.1 version for the same $95 as the new 4 version at the App store. But at the App store the 3.7.5 is still offered for 1/3 of that price? Aside from non English languages support in version(s) 4, I see no difference between 4 and 3.7.5. I use graphic programs only occasionally, and once I master an application I don't like to waste time (and money) on a second one (I am still using CANVAS 9.0, which is obsolete on Lion). I hesitate to purchase and test Eazydraw because of the unclear and odd pricing policy.
With the 5.1 I have an odd problem with the tab shortcuts. I setup CMD+right arrow to move to next tab and vice versa for moving to the previous tab. It worked flawless till this version. If I define CMD+shift+right arrow (and vice versa) it works, but I don't like this short clumsier shortcut.
It looks as if since I installed it "Mail" is crushing quite frequently, in particular every time I switch a location (home, work, etc.) Mail quits. It almost never crushed (I am an OS X user since day 0) till I installed Dropbox - anyone is familiar with that problem ?
I just paid for the 2.1.2 update, is this update to 2.2 is included or not. In the 2.1.2 update the file types was chanced and my 2.1 version couldn't open the new files. I certainly don't want to make the same mistake again ....
