For $10 it's just not worth it. The quality over wired lan is really bad. I'd image wifi even worse. It works - but it's hardly usable. Can't even read fairly large text it's so bad. Tried mountain lion preview however, and that mirroring is quite usable.
Actually, if you set your Mac to the resolution of the Apple TV (1280x720) it looks quite nice. And you can extend your desktop to the Apple TV as well. If I could redo the review I would give it 5 stars. My own ignorance in reading the FAQ. Sorry Dev!
I don't know where the great reviews are coming from. I only use a few services and this app is constant beach ball action. Couple twitter accounts, one facebook, and google reader and it's useless. Feature wise it's great, but without some serious optimizations somewhere, it's unusable.
Doesn't work with Snow Leopard. Apparently no contextual menu item support for 64 bit apps in SL (including Finder), even if the CM item is 64 bit. Yikes!
Has some very cool features, but BEWARE...the kiosk features may seriously screw up your apps, and even if you undo what you did, they will remain broken until reinstalled. Do NOT remove the menubar from Mail, iCal, basically anything that uses the keychain. I think this feature should be removed until it does not screw up keychain access.
As the first paying customer for the pro version I can tell you nothing is as powerful as this app for sound playback on the mac. I have used it for years and countless productions and it has never failed - not once. Better than SFX, by far. Worth buying a Mac for if you don't already have one! From community theatre to broadway, QLab has made life much easier for countless audio engineers and sound designers.
