I have used Postbox since version 2. I am now on version 3.0.2.
Lately i have found things that are really annoyng. Small things, but still annoying.
"Run filters on folders" dont work.
"Run filters on message" dont work.
Password protection is a joke. When it asks for the password all you have to do is press "cancel" and you have access to all downloaded mail.

The mail filtering options is one of the most vital functions in a mail app .(at least for me).

So you tested it and it was ok for you ? Good for you then. My fresh install of Snow Leopard must be faulty then, eh ? If something works on your machine and not on another one doesnt mean everything is working fine.

Support ? Yeah, right. Tried to tell you about the password on the facebook page, and it just got deleted. Then i posted it again in a thread on the facebook page, but no response at all.
Whats the point with password protection if it doesnt protect anything ? Its just silly.
Apparantly im not the only one complaining about stuff on the facebook page.

Thank god i found a 1 year old backup from apple mail. At that time i had to reset and wipe my entire gmail account because postbox´s handling of imap mail ended up with messing everything up. I suddenly had 3-4 copies of every mail and an inbox with over 20 000 mails in it.

I have now completely gone back to apple mail, and redownloaded all mail from the last year.

I even tried to import from postbox to apple mail.
Postbox support pages said do this and do that to get back to apple mail again. Tried 3 different ways, and none got all the mail. One did 24 000 mail, the other 20 000 and the third 21 000.

I have now completely deleted postbox from my computer, and its NOT coming back. Ever.
Im done with you guys.

Yes, include my full name when i use a nick in here. Privacy dont mean much to you. Very professional. Not.

Why send you a support request when others complain that you either dont reply or dont give any answers. "It works fine for us" is not an answer to a problem. Its just annoying.

Say what you want, im just done here.

I see a lot of back and forth in the comments about this program. Id like to see Macworld do a test of this app. That would be a review i could trust..

Had a look at http://www.macworld.com/article/151454/2010/08/mackeeper.html and then had a look at the comments below the article.. ouch. People claims this is emulated software, and not made for Os X at all.. This review is apparantly done by the US Macworld and is a bit short and general. I myself prefer Macworld UK. They go a bit more in deep and give full report.
(Besides, i have a feeling that the quick and responsive support had something to do with being from macworld..)

43 dollars is way to much for this app. I have secretbook, and ill stick with it.. And to comment on the previous statements from the developer, free updates for life means very little. Repeating it still dont make me wanna pay for it. When u say that the price for the app is set that high as a result of said "lifetime updates" you just admit that you could have sold it for 10 dollars and let people pay for the updates. Check out the other developers on macupdate. Many of them has simply stopped developing their apps further. We have no guarantee that u will keep developing this app for the next 5-10 years. I actually find it very unlikely.
15-20 dollars and ill consider it. 43 ? then your competition have yet another customer...
