this application doesnt work. i compared to mp3gain for windows that i run in 10.6.8 thru crossover. with a target value of 92dB, it gives totally different results.
Just installed 1.1.1 on SL 10.6.8. The interface is still as simple as previous version but it gets the job done. I haven't encountered any stability issues with this release, nor have I with previous version. It just works.
Note that there is one important new feature in this release : webcam.
This version can be downloaded from dev' website as well.
Latest version with that auto-launching server thing is a huge step backward... Going back to XBMC. More stable, more responsive and faster. XBMC still uses the subtitle directory which is a huge plus for me.
This application converts every movie on the fly. It does a pretty good job at it. No skipping on wired connection. Too bad that it actually converts every single movie, even the one that are compatible and could simply be streamed to the PS3. Under 4Gb MP4 for instance...
An option to not transcode certain files is a must!
ok, cool. my bad. I didnt see the comments you wrote in the description.
trying the app now. i got an error while running setup so i moved files manually. second error at then end of video extraction, it seems it stalled. difficult to say... x264 file is there though, and complete that is.
note the following, i am using my mac as a non privileged user. therefore i need to enter password when required... also, iam aon leopard latest version, latest updates...
1. setupd doesnt work. i get "cp: /Volumes/MKV.../Payload no such file or directory. i think it has to do with my non privileged status.
2. error while converting a file is a script error (-1172).
i tried conversion on an external drive. it always fails after video extraction. mkv file is on root folder of external drive.
i will try to convert locally to see if there any difference. i can see the x264, it is there, it was extracted (i suppose 100% because file is about expected size).
Still experiencing subtitles problems. Remuxing a file that contains subtitles will result in a file with subtitles that stay visible forever until next subtitles appear.
- Only 10% of the M2TS files i have could be muxed back to MKV or to another container (they were originally muxed from MKV with TSmuxer). I can't find any reason why.
- There is a bug in the batch window. When deleting or moving an item, it seems to mess up the list very badly.
- OSX screensaver (or standby) seems to kill the app.
- Muxing a bluray sub to MKV seems to affect the ETA since it seems ffmpeg takes much longer (extra demuxing?).
- MKV muxed into MP4 don't work in QuickTime but do work in VLC.
- Some MKV files have audio problems (loud beep) after being muxed. Muxed first to a new MKV container seems to fix the problem.

MKV to m4v or mp4 works great. I think there is a bug with MKV muxed with latest version of MKVtoolNix though (new "compression" feature).

Way better than PLEX that took the wrong turn...
Plex
PS3 Media Server
2. On a wired network, it is nowhere close to other streaming solution for the PS3! It skips continually.
3. Network interfaces are a pain... If you often switch between wireless and wired, you'rer in for troubles...

Playback
Does PLAYBACK convert MP4 files that are over 4GB or does it stream them as is?
