I won a free license of this software for reason 3: totalfinder.binaryage.com/free-licenses
Anyway, I've been using this app ever since. Some people might prefer Path Finder because it's a separate app and won't crash your Finder. Well, I can happily report that this is a very stable app and I even migrated to Lion on the first day and still it works flawlessly. Also, if it ever does crash, you relaunch it manually to prevent the Finder from keep crashing.
I prefer this app, as it just looks much cleaner and easier to use. The developer is a really nice guy and he responded really quickly to a request for a free license. If it was support, that would be awesome, but I just emailed him for a free license.
This developer also makes the awesome TotalFinder app, which has helped get me into the CLI, as it's always just a shortcut away. I can never thank him enough for that. It's the most enjoyable stuff I've been using computers for in years.
