Brilliant! Fixed the incessant flickering on MBP that's been going on for months now (was getting ready to bring it in since it's still under warranty...but kinda sucks living without a computer for a few days, as sad as that may be). In any case, install without a hitch and there has been no flickering of the display since - it's like having a new computer!
Been looking for a good invoicing app of a while now and after bouncing around between iRatchet (the old non-App Store version, since you can't get a demo of the newer version), iBiz, and Billings, I finally settled on Billings - mostly because it handles hourly invoices extremely well and has an awesome iOS counterpart!
There is a lot to configure at first, which can be very overwhelming - especially when trying to setup your own customized invoice design, but once you get things set up it works pretty well.
There are a couple of quirks and annoyances preventing me from giving this five stars. First and foremost, invoices are numbered as an overall total, and not on a per client basis. In addition, you can't renumber an invoice, and the total continues up even if you delete an invoice (i.e. you create an invoice which is numbered 180, then you delete for whatever reason, create a new invoice it is numbered 181 even though invoice 180 no longer exists). Fortunately this can be resolved by using a custom field, but would still be nice if you didn't have to manually enter the invoice number each time.
Sorting through invoiced projects is difficult as well, as there is no way to group paid and unpaid invoices - you can use the reporting function, but that can be more complicated than it's worth.
Finally, and this is the biggest annoyances, there is no way to discount an invoice by a fixed amount, Billings only supports discounting by %.
While these seem like a lot of complaints, I do like the program overall - once you get it set up to your liking it makes keeping track of all your invoices quite painless, add to that its iOS counterpart to create invoices on the go, this is a pretty good invoicing program border lining on being great.
It's alive! Perhaps not free anymore (but for $1.99 - can you really complain?), but works on Lion, has high-res graphics, and is just generally awesome. Ahh, nostalgia is wonderful
Used to love this little plug-in - now it's been stuck in 32-bit forever and thus forces Safari to run in 32-bit mode, the interface hasn't been updated in ages, the photos are all low-res. Started with a lot of promise and has since fallen flat on it's face. Honestly, I'd be happy if they just update the plug-in to be 64-bit compatible. I know it's not a big deal for Safari to run in 32-bit mode, but there isn't any reason for it to have to - it's not that difficult to recompile a plug-in for 64-bit compatibility. The developers just seem lazy.
New version seems to have some rather major issues - first and foremost being that even though I have a jailbroken iPhone, I cannot set the "root" directory as the iPhone's root directory.
Huh, odd - the application opens for a second and then closes. I see the item in the menubar for a couple of seconds, and then it disappears. I checked my activity monitor and the application is definitely not open...
I was really excited when I saw this application - finally a way to organize my apps on my computer and not have to constantly drag them around the screen! Unfortunately, in Movement's current state, this simply doesn't work. I connect my iPhone via USB to the computer (wait for it to do it's thing, ala sync up with iTunes) and then click on the "Read Apps" button in Movement. A scroll bar slides down indicating that it is reading the apps - and then nothing...the scroll bar just keeps going without ever actually reading the apps on the iPhone. I have let it sit for nearly 5 min, just in case, and still nothing.
In any case, the idea behind this program is awesome...I just hope this bug(s) can be sorted out so that it actually works.
Grr, Aperture MobileMe Web Galleries still not showing up in iWeb (MobileMe Web Galleries created in iPhoto showing up just fine). Already emailed Apple about this and told that it was currently unsupported, figured that they'd fix it eventually! Guess not *shakes head slowly*
Cloud Data is essentially the data that is stored on external servers. For example: Google allows you to save documents on their servers as well as personal bookmarks. This data would be considered to be stored in the cloud - the cloud in this place being Google's servers.
The Cloud is just a fancy name for information that is accessible from any computer with an internet connection.
This version doesn't seem to work with TechTool Protogo anymore. The last version I was using (1.5.8, hadn't upgraded in a little while) worked just fine when loaded onto a TechTool Protogo device. Now, with this new version, when I try to open it when booted up from a TechTool Protogo device, the whole system hangs. I just get that wonderful spinning beachball, and nothing. Anybody else have this problem (or even use TechTool Protogo for that matter)?
Seems a new bug has popped up in this latest release - the Google search in the menu bar no longer seems to work. When I type something in it, and then hit enter, nothing happens. Minute I uninstall SafariTabs all is well again.
Hmm, this doesn't seem to be working. I quit Safari, I installed SIMBl first, then installed TabStop - then reopened Safari, opened a bunch of tabs, closed the window and nothing - quit safari, and nothing. Sounds like a great idea, not quite sure why it isn't work.

This is getting exceedingly frustrating. Maybe an Aperture update is needed.
