Notice that at MacUpdate, it's says "Commercial ($10)" for NeoOffice. That's because you now have to buy NeoOffice. However, on the NeoOffice Web site, the $10 is called a "donation." Yeah. Right. Something you have to pay is called a payment or a price, it's not a donation. Don't consider "donating" $10 to NeoOffice until they come clean and call the $10 a required payment.
I've used NeoOffice (and OpenOffice and now LibreOffice) a lot and have donated to NeoOffice in the past. But I won't even think about it again until honesty prevails.
I recently purchased a Dell Mini 10v to use as a hackintosh. I already had a Mini 9 and wanted a larger keyboard. Anyway, when I set up a new Mac, one of the first things I do is purchase a copy of MimMac.
I've been using it for over 2 years. Every morning, when I leave for work, I back up my complete home folder to a portable firewire drive that goes with me. When I arrive at work, I immediately back up several folders containing my working files to my work Mac. I use MimMac for these backups. Prior to MimMac I used Dantz Retrospect and then Synchronize Pro X. I would NEVER, EVER go back to those as long as MimMac is around.
It has incredible flexibility and can also do bootable backups as well.
In terms of value received in exchange for the price charged, it is superb. My family and I have purchased 6 licenses so far. There will be more in the future.
