Discontinued though it is, iSquint remains a fantastic, simple, reliable and effective piece of software: with the possible exception of Handbrake (which offers more control), the best free media encoder I have encountered, period. Even now, years after discontinued development, the advanced settings make it easy to convert files for an iPhone or iPod touch. Definitely one to file under the "it just works" category.
It can take a while to complete a file conversion - but likely it will take that long with any converter. It will occasionally crash during a conversion, which can be frustrating when they take a while to complete - but video is always a pain and will cause even the most professional program to crash every once in a while.
In short, I would love it if the developer came back to the project. But if not: thanks anyway! You've done a wonderful job, and made my (and I'm sure many others) life much easier.
