I'm suffering from buyer's regret. I didn't find out until after I bought the product that it does not properly integrate with Exchange calendar accounts - of which I have four. Not being able to create events directly in BusyCal (I know the workaround of doing it in iCal and seeing in BusyCal) is a showstopper to me and nowhere on their website did I see an explicit mention of this. The other features are OK and return some of the capabilities of the previous version of iCal (I don't know what the hell the Lion developers were thinking), but not to the tune of $50.
So, those of you with Exchange accounts, carpe diem!
Maybe it's just me, but I've working with MailHub in trial mode for the last two weeks and I'm stumped as to how it determines what the default filing folders should be for messages. There doesn't appear to be a "Forget your suggestion, start over". Or better yet, have a way to force a recommended folder. I did get responses from the author but they didn't address my problem. Is there a user forum somewhere?
Turns out there is a bit of a learning curve with how to use the product. I bought it primarily for the way it manages tasks. The developer has been working hard to address my earlier issues and I look forward to exercising the other features.
Perhaps it's my setup or the way I'm using applications (I have quite a few open at any given time), but while I appreciate what AppTamer does in terms of saving me battery time, I find that it affects the way applications work. I frequently have the need to unplug from a power source and move my laptop to another room for a meeting. In the transition, many applications go into a hibernation station that sometimes takes many seconds to awaken from. While I see the option to designate a priority to an application, I would like to have the option to NOT have AppTamer put the app to sleep. Maybe I'm missing a setting. Bottom line-I would like to be able to use this app, but the problems are currently outweighing the benefits.
Wonderful! With this release I'm not able to connect at all! Keep getting a message that the service is not available or I'm not connected to the Internet. I am, of course, and am able to access the service using either Adium or, ironically, Messenger version 7.
What a PITA!
