AppZapper

narf_tm reviewed on 01 May 2006
This application works great for removing application that were installed by drag and drop. It does not work well for applications that were install through an installer. For example, iPhoto is installed through an installer. If you use AppZapper, IPhoto , a plist and a bunch of packages show up in the list. This is very deceiving. You can look at what was installed by these packages in the terminal using lsbom. If you want to look at /Library/Receipts/iPhoto.pkg, you would run 'lsbom /Library/Receipts/iPhoto.pkg/Contents/Archive.bom'. You can see that there were files installed into /Library/Documentation/Applications, /Library/Internet Plug-Ins and many more. For this product to be complete, it should take these files into consideration. I have emailed this company's support many times over the last month and received NO response. I really like the concept of this application, and hope they add support for this in the future.
