ViewIt
Nancy Brown commented on 14 Apr 2010
Great app, but a major missing "feature" is the complete inability to reconnect moved/ renamed photos from saved Viewit lists. This is a big drawback. Anytime a photo is moved or renamed from within the Finder, the Viewit list will show that the photo is missing and you will be unable to view it. There is no option to find that photo and Viewit does not have the ability to locate it for you. For one who is always moving things around, this is a problem.

Clipboard Evolved

Nancy Brown reviewed on 08 Mar 2010
Downloaded a trial version and DO agree that it is unstable (at least on my system 10.5.8), especially when using on a system with spaces enabled. I have set this app to be in every space, but it doesn't always comply. Docked version works better with spaces compared to the floating window. Although with the docked version, the very first clip on top is cut off on the top so that the clip contents are not visible (text). Also, clicking on the Clipboard in the menu bar does NOT show or hide the dock (like it says it should in the Clipboard preference pane). Actually it worked once.

Things missing from this app:

No ability to label clips. If you want to use it to save passwords or account numbers, there is no way to identify which account/password you might be using because all you will see is the clip contents. Not very useful when you have a multitude of accounts and passwords. All you will see are numbers and letters, so if you haven't memorized all your information (which is actually why one might want an app like this in the first place), it's of little value.

Floating window does not actually float on top of other windows, so if you are using it in conjunction with another application and going back and forth to copy and paste the contents of your saved clips, the clip window will disappear every time you click on the application you are trying to paste into... a nuisance really.

No ability to use the dock mode on the top or bottom of your desktop. You can only select right or left sides.

It seems that you can only DRAG items onto the clip pane when it is a floating window, and Not when it is used in Dock mode.

This is not that big a deal, but in the preference window, when selecting any of the different function tabs, they do not darken or look like they have been selected, consequently you don't really know which specific preference pane you are in.

Needs some work.
