I downloaded and tried Neatworks since the feature advertised were exactly what I was looking for! Unfortunately it falls short of deliverng what it is supposed to.
I'm only interested in scanning receipt and have software which finds by itself the useful information in the receipt:
- Shop Name
- Amount Paid
- Date
Well I tried with a basic supermarket receipt:
- Shop name and date could not be recognised: even after I added the shop name to the vendor list, my receipt vendor is still automatically set to "Apple", and this word appear nowhere on the receipt. The OCR correctly see the characters "24APR2011" on the receipt, yet set the date to the scanning date.
- As for the price, it's only after I open the receipt and "re-analyse" it that the price is fetched and set (correctly). Since importing is so long and a first analysis is clearly going on, how come the price wasn't set in the first place?
The "bonus" bug is that the software doesn't seem to recognise my HP all-in-one wifi scanner, though I could have scanned receipt using Preview.
The features list is perfect to me, it just need to actually do what it is supposed to!
Works as advertised! My scanner keeps creating very large PDF file, impossible to email. I now compress them with thie very powerful (yet simple and free) tool (from 2.5 MB to 0.5MB)!
For some reason the "Save As" dialog box is not compatible with Default Folder though...
I have a wifi HP All-In-One. I can scan from Preview.app, and from software like vuescan. However my scanner is not recognised in Paperless (Guess it's because it's a networked scanner). You can rename it to "Useless" for me!
I would certainly use (an buy) this software if I could choose to include the text back in the pdf file. Then I could keep only one file, searchable and with proper layout.
Let me know if you plan to release it.
As most of the comment are outdated, I thought I would add one, basically saying: LaTexIt is very usefull piece of program, especially to creates presentations or graphics with latex equations in them.
It is stable and the GUI is nice.
Great app! The only thing I'm missing is a way to download the videos that requires to login (youTube)... It just doesn't work.
Suggestions:
- a progress bar when the file is downloading (at first I thought the program was stuck...)
- An error message when the file requires to login (or something to actually download)
I'm having trouble to open msg file on my mac.
Files were created on Outlook 2011 (win XP) and I'm trying to open them under Lion, with Mailraider 0.7.
Basically, when I double click a msg file nothing happens. When I try to open from the "File>open" menu, the pop up stalls after I selected my file and clicked open.
Not sure what to do....
I must say that this widget is exactly what I was looking for. But for me it does not work... I'm only talking about the bluetooth mode. I'm using a macbook, and a SonyEricsson k800i. I can send files without problem using the "Bluetooth File Exchange" (from Apple), but Ubertragen gives me an error "A Bluetooth error has occured, is the device in range?". As there is not much configuring, I don't know what to do to solve this...
Any help warmly welcomed!
