As a VERY long time PopChar user, I find that with each update, the software becomes even more indispensable and useful. The developer continues to innovate, making it easier to use and tweaking it in response to comments and suggestions. If you are a writer AND more than occasionally need or want to use those special characters resident within your fonts, PopChar is a must-have and inexpensive way to get what you want, what you need, quickly. Always there in the upper left hand corner of my desktop, I click on PopChar as needed. Then, quick as it appears, when I click on what I want to insert, it disappears back up to the corner and, save for the little "P" sitting there to let me know it's there and ready for use. My recommendation is to download and try it, then decide. It will cost you nothing! PopChar really does unlock the full potential of all your fonts, that, perhaps, you never knew existed. Again, just try it and decide. I did and I've been a fan and user since version 1.0, many, many Macs ago! New in Version 5 is the Favorites area where those characters commonly used may be easily added for instant access. Thanks for the wonderful, useful utility, Ergonis! By the way, I like it so much that I also use the Windows version, though most of its use is on my Mac. I hope my comments are helpful to anyone sitting on the fence!
