The 3.1 update requires Font Server 1.6. Font Server 1.6 ONLY works with version 3.1...
So chicken and the egg problem here. Are you seriously telling me that I have to shut down all work on my network and upgrade all the clients and server at once?
I have a client that would really love a solution to managing their 1k contact database. Their big issues are in sharing this information and updates to it across 5 or so people, backups and import and export.
Unfortunately, while I can learn all sorts of moderately useful things from this developer's site, I don't seem to be able to find any information regarding any of these functions, whether they exist at all or how they work.
The screenshot here is the only screenshot on their site as well.
This could be the best application ever written, but without an editor and/or an interface designer on their team, I will never know.
$70 seems like a lot to just clean out some bad macros from office documents... Maybe if there were actual Mac viruses out there, it wouldn't sound so extreme.
Okay, with much laborious clicking around, I found that the changes for this version of Stuffit are:
COMPRESS AND EXPAND
NEW! Duplicate Folding = smaller archives
NEW! Expand 7-Zip archives
NEW! Expand segmented Zip archives
BACKUP
NEW! Preview archives within TimeMachine
INTEGRATION
NEW! Peer in archives with Quick Look plugin
NEW! Browse archives in the Finder like disks
Assuming "Peer" is supposed to be "Peek", QL & Finder Preview integration could be useful (no idea tho if this is deluxe only feature or if it comes with the expander alone).
But seriously... how many people create stuffit archives (!) that have enough redundant files within them to make a difference with duplicate folding?
I've never heard of 7-zip archives, and have yet to encounter segmented zip archives... but I suspect I could find freeware solutions to either if it were an issue.
Amazing how they can churn out a new version every two months and somehow think they've got a new product.

Someone didn't think this one out very well.

The link here gives me .559, which DOES have contextual menu support.
NOW, if it were only 64-Bit...
NYC Subway Maps
but... i love that the developer's OTHER app is essentially MacTracker, rereleased but for money (mactracker's iphone app is free).
