Frustratingly slow compared to Readiris Pro. But it hands down beats it in accuracy.
Very crippled compared to the full fledged windows version. Still, even with the lack of controls that the windows version offers, I found it to be the best OCR sw for the mac.
If someone has a better suggestion for OCR sw please msg me. Thanks
A slight improvement over text-to-speech. But not really worth it.
I had to spent nearly an hour editing a page (butchering the english language), so that it could speak and sound something resembling the english language.
2Hrs later Addendum...
I've given up completely on this app. It does whatever it wants. There's absolutely no control over diction and intonation other than throwing excessive punctuation and pauses where it shouldn't have them. And even then you have to deal with the wacky syllable stress and pronunciation of certain words.
The british voices seem a bit better at pronouncing words. But the american voices (which I would have preferred to use) are nearly unusable.
I wouldn't pay a dime for this software
Disregard the previous post. The secret to make the app work, is to enable access for assistive devices under the Universal Access Pane of System Preferences.
This app is great! It does exactly What I wanted.
In combination with iShowU or Snapz Pro, you can make great video tutorials.
