I am a MacUpdate Desktop user
Gender: Male
Late 40's, medically retired and living in South Derbyshire. Previously worked for Rolls-Royce Aero, 3M Healthcare and BBC Local Radio amongst many others in my time. I served my time on telephone support before turning to training in the late 90's.
I now try to fill my days with whatever I can, from TV to X-Box, to writing, reading and playing guitar and drums...but not at the same time :-) It's a strange sort of existence but it seems to work

I became a Mac user in 2005 and have not looked back. I would hate to have to go back to a Windows environment again.

My Mac helps me to be the really creative person I have always been. My Windows PC's over the years honestly did hinder me in that.

The really odd thing is that now that I have time to appreciate it all, I really hate technology, even though I am surrounded by it. Technology has allowed us to do many wonderful things, but when you really stand back and look at the world you will see that it's rare for that technology to work seamlessly with everything else. My Mac is changing that in some small way, but honestly, far from expanding the possibilities of my life, technology just makes it a muddle and I hate it.
