Wow. This is quite sad. Thank You A.T. for all these many years of service you provided. I used this on all my Macs, and will miss this product daily...
My favorite plugin!
The 'Vertigo' effect on a 27" screen is simple but POW!
A big reason I haven't updated to iTunes 10.4x yet.
Wanted to add my appreciation for this basic & clever plugin.
Doesn't work on iTunes 10.4/64-bit nor Lion.
Developer is aware.
I will keep my eyes open for any future update, as I am putting off my Lion install for just a little while longer...
Text Postings Unreadable, messages do not appear, blank window, grey field appears, FAIL;
Will revert back to 2.0.4 whilst this oh-so-basic bug gets addressed. Let me know when 2.0.6 comes out, so that I can use again. Thanks
Have been giving Simplify Media a try pretty much since it first came out.
It's no wonder I hardly ever launch it anymore. Nice concept, clunky execution;
The latest version (2.5.0.1519) Introduces a new bug on top of the continuation of the old CPU Hog bug that it has had since day 1;
Now when I launch, it pretty much recognizes most of my itunes library (well, it recognized 5800 of 8000 songs), BUT now the new bug is that it continuously cycles with a "Reading library file" message and progress bar 99% of the time it is on, and uses 67% of the CPU on a QUAD Intel iMac; WOW, what a resource hog.
I will give this product One last chance (next update after this one" before I abandon it; At this time I cannot recommend this application to any of my friends, and I am on the verge of advocating against this app. C'Mon guys, after approx 2 years of development, it still acts this way? Good Luck, and try again.
I am going to try to find previous version to downgrade, as this version is a step backwards for me, and wait 1 more time for the 'next' new version.
Crap: My review was actually on version 2.5.0.1810. For some reason I mistakenly wrote the old version number, but my bug report is on my disappointment with version 2.5.0.1810
Great for a couple Years, but Snow Leopard + iTunes 9 Kills it...
I am still going to give this app a 5 star review.
This was pretty much a 1 trick pony, but it did that 1 trick superbly...
Hopefully it will be updated, as iTunes specifically mentions this plugin in its crash error report. Used this previously on my Legacy Mac (PPC, OSX 10.4.11) which I used as my Music Server. Finally upgraded to a new Quad iMac, running Snow Leopard, and this was one of the first plugins I went looking for. Alas, no more, it crashes everytime, bigtime, and the error report only mentions the DockArt Plugin as the sole culprit. Oh Well.
Thank you for your past work, Mr Weston, it was great while it lasted, and I will check in occasionally to see ii this gets updated, but if not, I would still like to express my appreciation.
Nice going man ! Looks like you picked up where Iridium and SmoothTunes quit, for Intel/PPC both. I am indifferent to the Aero/Vista theme that iTunes 7 has imposed, so I welcome your throwback, looks smooth.
