I suggest a derivative of this blog quote goes in to the presentation text as few people seem to be able gather the facts about plug-in support on their own (It's safe to assume an inclination to rush to conclusions is involved in a majority of posts):
"It is not my intention to specifically break plugins, but I want it clear that I won't support them further and people use them at their own risk. Furthermore, the browser must ship in a safe configuration out of the box rather than expecting people to install things like Flashblock (which I heartily recommend). That said, plugin code is an integral part of the codebase, so there will always be plugin code in TenFourFox. There's just no guarantee that it will work"

Despite the fierce development of the Firefox team Floodgap continue to churn out versions for Mac PowerPC Operating System. As long as plug-in support continues, inofficially and allegedly by accident, to work better than in any other PPC browser, I'll be a user on at least my Powerbook G4. I see few alternatives to use a modern browser on PPC.
Well, I'm not impressed at all. While easy to use Tagalicious basically is too slow, too stupid, wrong too often to be of any use at all. It's not even worth being paid to use.
Of 37 tracks with all track info already there except for "Album" which had been mangled, it found correct data for 3. For 4 tracks it suggested totally wrong info, trying to be clever and choose another title with one similar word, like it's trying to hit or miss.
It's a miss alright. Look at the alternatives cause you're wasting your time with this one.
I found some great tips from chtrusch for you with slower PowerPc machines:
"browser.fullscreen.animateUp = 0 (prevents the stupid and sometimes very slow animation when switching to full screen)
[alternatively: browser.fullscreen.autohide=false (leaves the navigation bar visible always)]
browser.preferences.animateFadeIn = false (re-sizing is ok, but fade-in of content is non-standard on OS X anyway)
browser.tabs.animate = false (no more "Assertion Failed. Giving up waiting for the tab closing animation to finish")
browser.panorama.animate_zoom = false (instant switch from tab groups to normal window)
"

There is now a Firefox 9.01. It seems there will be no 9.01 release, but a 10 release. There is a 9.01pre available http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/downloads/list, however.
The Max 0.9.1 info states it can split one flac album file into tracks with the help of a cue file. It's totally unclear to me how that is supposed to be set up.
XLD as contrast made it a matter of setting up preferred format, opening the cue file and clicking on "Transcode". Very nice!
I found a very interesting discussion on the rapid release schedule and especially the lack of bug patches for "older" versions, since 4, at http://mike.kaply.com/2011/06/21/firefox-rapid-release-process/
The most interesting stuff is in the comments.
It works nicely with Tomcat 6.0.33 as an alternative to going to the Terminal and issuing the commands. If you often restart for some reason, like when developing, that's often.
It does not however find the path to Tomcat 6 automatically, but pasting the proper path to the Tomcat installation folder is all the set up you need to do.
It would be nice to set up autostart and using alternative configuration files, but it's better do one thing almost perfectly than trying to do everything.
Above the claim is made that Max can split one flac album file into tracks with the help of a cue file. It's totally unclear to me how that is supposed to be set up.
When I tried such a file duo (flac + cue) Max made one big aiff file. How do you do it?
To reenable plugins in TenFourFox 7.0 go to the address field and type about:config. Press return and click on the "I'll be careful, I promise" button.
In the filter input type "tenfourfox".
You now see TenFourFox related preferences and can set new values by Double clicking each preference. To reenable set "tenfourfox.plugins.enabled" to true and "tenfourfox.layout.hideplugins" to false. If you want the java plugin activated set "tenfourfox.layout.hide_java_plugin" to false. Close the window or go to a web site to verify.
Verified with Flash 10.1. I assume it will work with most other plugins as well.
I use iAlarm 2.03 which seems to be the last to support PPC. After iAlarm recently have failed me twice to awake from sleep in a recently installed Leopard OS, with no screen password, I decided to abandon it. It used to work really well though.

Anyone else seeing odd layout at facebook? My left navigation area have been slided horizontally all the way from its earlier left position to now residing well below, but on the right side of the search box. It's in TFF 4, 5 and 6.
I was tempted by the macupdate promo, but both the version here and the 1.2.35 version I get from Escapers can't run on my PowerPC G5 as it seems to be Intel only. So either Escapers made a compile mistake or they have silently stopped compiling for PPC.
As Flux 3.1.30 did run on PPC I must say it's quite odd to hide or abandon the PPC version with an incremental update.
