This doesn't fit my email needs at all. Any client I use must be able to send TEXT only. I could not find any way to do that either in the on-line help or the limited on-line forums.
Also, I want to specify a mail agent to read mail, a separate to send, and have the Reply-To: header added. Didn't see a way to configure that.
While 4.5.2 works great and is FREE, I'm wondering what possessed this developer to release the next version in the Mac Store for $4 with very little different or improved over the older release. Is it greed?
tried running this on 10.6.8 and it threw and exception after entering the admin username and password. Any way to contact this developer is obfuscated so that tells me he's not interested in fixing problems. That's why I think think this app should be given a wide birth. Don't trust it or it's developer.
Pity. I so wanted to like it. Went with TinkerTool System.
Just bought it. Congrads on finding that 'sweet spot' in pricing. Lots of developers would have charged $30 without blinking. This utility is sweet and adding the ACL editor makes it a real winner. Not may apps out there that can do this.
Be careful with this company. I just downloaded their software. Didn't fill out a form. Didn't send them any information. And got a phone call on my cell from their "manager". And a SPAM email. All from my IP address. I reported such things to SPAMCOP, their ISP (rackspace, GoDaddy, and LiquidWeb), but I'm still getting contacted. It's kind of creepy. And their software takes over the desktop, filling the screen. I'm not about to point it to my web site to see what SEO opportunities it finds. It's going straight into the trash.
I got a phone call and SPAM email from the manager of tangence.com, who identifying himself as an manager for "Results First", a SEO marketing company. This happened within 24 hours after accessing your site, installing your software, and attempting to use it to optimize my site. Their DNS info is shielded as is your company's info, so I have no way to determine if you guys are connected. If the guy wasn't your company, I apologize for the coincidences. Seems weird that someone would call AND send a SPAM email after obtained info from my domain's DNS entry. So installing and using your software to look at my site was pure happenstance. For accusing you of such overzealous marketing, I apologize.
As to your product, it took over the screen and did very limited things until I paid for more services. Not willing to give you guys a nickel for such stuff. The fact that you got all cartoony about my negative comments and posted a HUGE self-review here speaks VOLUMES. You should read up on the Streisand Effect.
This package requires rrdtool which hasn't been ported to MacOS X yet. If you build this application, you'll have to figure out how to compile rrdtool by hand.
Would it be so hard to code an error message into all your apps to log in syslog that the app needs to be in the /Applications folder?
Or to actually ask the user if they want to move it there? If they say no, have it delete itself.
Or change the art in the install DMG to saying YOU MUST MOVE APP to /Applications for it to work.
Personally, I can't think of any technical reason why an App would only run in /Applications and no where else. That's just sloppy coding. But not bothering to check that this is the problem is worse. It's lazy coding.

tried to use their Forum to troubleshoot a problem with their site. it wouldn't let me use my valid email address. Gmail worked but I tried to change it and it wouldn't take it. Others had similar problems that were unresolved on their forum after 2 years. Support for this product SUCKS. Not something I want to spend time on. At least with URL Manager Pro, Alco came back from the dead to support his product and customers. Guess that's what you get for free. PASS.
Most of the utilities from this package crash with a bus error on MacOS X 10.4.11 on my PPC. Compiling coreutils 6.12 from scratch doesn't have this problem.
I've been using MenuMeters forever and switched to iStat menus for the last couple months. I've found a fundamental problem with iStat menus with the most current release of Little Snitch (2.0.1) in that the Little Snitch daemon will start hogging CPU seemingly at random. I ripped out iStat menus and the problem goes away. I think something in the network monitoring of iStat menus is affecting Little Snitch. Since I consider Little Snitch a "must have", I'm back to MenuMeters and my system hasn't had a problem since.

All your other apps don't run on 10.6.8 on my system:

This is the most current version of Java for 10.6.8 that I know of.
