This one will surprise a lot of people. Very promising browser and so different and innovative. Easy to read clean lists for favourites, bookmarks and history and overall a great browsing experience. It was time for something different and Raven supplies it. Although still in beta it is being regularly updated. Worth a look, at least.

I thought this application was dead and buried and am really surprised an update has appeared. I used Outspring up to version 1.1.2 and had quite a few problems en route ending with a few crashes, the final one of which made me decide to drop the application as it had become so unreliable. After checking the website it looked as if the developer was no longer supporting it, which was unfortunate as it had so much promise, end of story. Then 1.1.3 appears out of the blue and the crashes I was experiencing have been fixed. I have started using it again and live in hope and although there have been a few negative responses it still has the makings of a good email client although rather a little expensive. As for the developer, well it remains a bit of a mystery. Perhaps a reply in these columns would be welcome?
