Fidelia

Megaman reviewed on 24 May 2012
I purchased this on the iTunes store as I wanted a good music player to play audiophile quality music.

Overall pleasing to use and the sound is great.

HOWEVER, wtf is it with not being able to save your library or playlists? Really - what's the point?

Most software provides the basic ability to save your work - this one does not. I am expected to re-load my library and create new playlists every time I launch this application.

If it was free or a demo version I'd maybe understand, but I paid $20 for this, not to mention the extraordinary amount the developer chargers for so called 'pro' features.

Until the developer fixes this incredible problem, I simply cannot recommend this application.

Smart Scroll

I really do love this software.

However, two issues I'm having which I can't seem to resolve.

Firstly, two finger back/forward on the Magic Trackpad seems to not work properly - especially in iTunes.

Secondly, when viewing a PDF in Safari, scrolling is not possible at all. The only way to read the document is to download.

Otherwise, an excellent piece of software.

Every time there's a software update, I have to go without SmartScroll for a few days waiting for an update from the developer.

Whilst I really like this software, it is getting really OLD that this still occurs.

No other software on my Mac has this issue, just Smart Scroll. Why does it get broken with every update?

Things

If you visit the developer's site and visit their Blog you will see that they haven't made an entry since Aug 22nd and they have have switched comments off.

This pretty much says it all.

It's almost Christmas 2011 and we're still waiting for a market-ready cloud sync. They are obviously sick of hearing people complaining about it - hence no ability to leave a comment on their blog.

Well, Lion has just had an OS update and now my beta version of Smart Scroll, which was buggy in Lion, is completely broken again.

I'm starting to worry that Lion may have broken Smart Scroll for good as the developer seems to be struggling to keep up with the new OS.

Sure hope not, I love this app.

The current beta 2 for Lion is very buggy in Safari.

Just wondering how far off a fix we are. I love this app and really, really need a Lion fix soon.

Vox

Megaman reviewed on 04 Aug 2011
I used Vox quite a bit with Snow Leopard, however in Lion it crashes within a few seconds of playing a tune.

Will have to uninstall for now due to there being no Lion support.

Logitech Control Center

Megaman reviewed on 31 Jul 2011
OK, I thought I'd play devil's advocate and load the latest LCC onto my MackBook Air.

Whilst there didn't seem to be any apparent issues at first, I later checked out my console to find kernel panics as far as the eye could see.

I should have known better.

Hmmm, the jury is out on this one actually, removed LCC and still getting kernel panics. Watch this space.

Apparently version 3.4.0 is out and is Lion compatible.

Anyone game to try it and post a review?

I'd love to try this app but the link just hangs.
