In the first place a DAW needs to be user friendly. MidiPatterns does not fit the bunch. It is ugly and a mess.
The demo crashed several times during playing.
Didn't noticed this converter before. First time i tried - it presented a error telling me something is missing (add a file) but there was already a file. Bummer. Then I got a message only thee minutes for trial. Bummer. Sorry to say but I cannot test your app with this limitation.
I tried several movies to convert - some resulted in 0kb files?!? The ones that got converted did not play smoothly with QT (skipping frames et all). Two converted files had audio sync issues and showed block artifacts?!?
Sorry to say - in its present form it does not work as advertised.
I do not understand the high ratings for this audio editor. I mean, it is loaded with bugs and unstable it is unusable in a pro studio.
The GUI is more Windows-a-like, something I do not like. Offcourse this a personal issue. :)
I can highly recommended Wave Editor. Way way better and very stable. Ones you used Wave Editor you never are going to look back.
I am following the progress of this OS X FE for ffmpeg some weeks now and I have a good idea of what it has become: A truly fantastic piece of coding!! Honestly, I love this every bit and more. It is even fair to say this is an almost complete supported ffmpeg FE. I never seen this before, even for Windows. Lots of codecs, lots of options, lots of ..
Put simply: if you want extensive FFmpeg control then do not look any further.
The developer is also very helpful! He answered to every query I got on the same day!! 8)
OMG ... An ffmpeg FE for OSX. Am I dreaming?
I am a diehard ffmpeg freak and use it a lot for converting my videos. Just because I like to be in control. Handbrake et all are great but when you need some extra control juice it lacks in many aspects.
Tried all Windows FE for ffmpeg too but never found one that can deliver any good ffmpeg control.
Please forgive me when being a bit sceptic when I saw iffmpeg showing up. :-) :-)
Fortunality, to my big surprise it works. No, let me rephrase this: it even works fantastic! It needs some more ffmpeg options but the dev already told me he is hard working on a next release with more ffmpeg options. Great job.
iFFmpeg is on a very good road becoming an fantastic ffmpeg FE !
