Tried, looks good. One thing unclear though: can I batch compressions? I would like to drag, say, five folders on the program-window and save them as separate (encrypted) files with one click. Is this possible?
Thanks,
Max
On 04 Jan 201 I commented with Firefox 9.0.1. sites sometimes behave strange, like YouTube that tend to not display all page-elements. Also other pages containing videos sometmes behave curious. Now, with FF 10.0.2 this is still the case. Restarting the browser solves the problems most of the times. Disabling Cookie shows the problem is caused by Cookie.
The developer advised just to uncheck the remove history option. While I unchecked this option on a regular basis, that doesn’t help.
24-hour clock still does not work like it should (see previous review).
The bar to click the sound-alarm away does not funtion properly since the latest update.
Developer is slow with updates and bugfixes. Not reccommended.
I already did several times. The first time you commented the same as you do now. After that I got no replies from you anymore.
Anyway, see below my comment of 05 Sep 2011.
Just a simple try may not give the bug result. You need to save a setting and try to change it lateron. Every once in a while the new setting cannot be made in a 24-hour setting.
When you search MacUpdate for 'Cookie', this program doesn't pop up. I actually reached this page by clicking on 'Cookie Stumbler', where you can find 'Cookie' in the row of alternative programs. Should be paid attention to by MU.
Ah, you're right, my apologies! I was unaware that the settings of previously used filters would keep on being active. After checking 'all' indeed the results show Cookie on top.
Good and affordable software that delivers most of the time.
There's an annoying bug though: With the 24-hour time preference selected it sometimes jumps back to a 12 hour scale (while still in 24-hour mode). If unselected and selected again, the alarm-clock allows a 24-hour scale again.
Suggestions for improvement:
* Possibility to duplicate (or copy/paste) a countdown-timer, alarm-clock etc. It will ease making a new one as usually only one setting needs to be different.
* Right-clicking a countdown-timer, alarm-clock etc. for editing should open a window in which ALL settings of that timer can be adjusted, so title, value, actions etc.
* When a countdown-timer etc. has started, I click away the window (or both when also working with the tracker). When an alarm has ended, I would like to see the timer-utility pop-op automatically. Could be a pref.
* I would love to see the possibility to have both tracker and utility in one window, maybe with tabs maybe, to switch from one to the other. Or even, like in many apps, to have both options: dragging them loose and dragging them back into one window with tabs.

Even so, Bean is great. Use it together with Scrivener and TextExpander to cover all your writing-needs.
