Why pay $12 for functionality that is already on your computer? Enable the International menu in the top bar and then select Keyboard Viewer. Press the maximize button if you find it too small. Voila! You just saved $12!
Xbench does not work. I was running the graphics benchmarks many times in a row. After three times the text benchmark increased 100% all of a sudden. Other results improved as well, but not as much. If nothing in the setup has changed this should not happen.
Therefore I do not believe Xbench is a reliable tool for benchmarking. When looking at some results reported at XLR8YourMac is see the same thing happening.
I have to give Microtek some credit for finally providing this update. Vuescan works OK with 5600, but previewing is very slow, which, when scanning many things at a time, can be very frustrating. The Simple interface in ScanWizard 5 is however terrible, and very ugly (Windows looking). The batch function in the Advanced mode is very good and simple to use. Having used Vuescan and this I have to say I really prefer Mikrotek's official drivers. Having an OCR function integrated is also a very handy feature that Vuescan does not have.
The way a shooter should feel look and play! This Demonstar gives the excitement I remembered getting when playing some of classic ones on the Commodore 64. Smooth... frenetic action... huge motherships... massive explosions... cool weapons build up... even the music is just RIGHT. Great way of killing time between projects. Good game!
