This is a cool app but it would be better if it had a keyboard shortcut to increase or decrease the shade. The app does use 20 MBs of virtual memory and while this is relatively, it still would be a plus if it could be reduced at all.
I must say that this is a much needed addition to Quicktime. While VLC can play a lot of files, I must prefer the Quicktime GUI and it's much easier to use. In fact, there is a nice table of contents-like addition for .mkv files that makes me believe that it works better than VLC! If it was shareware, I would definitely buy this product...as this has become an application that I can't live without. Open source is the way to go!!
As one suggested, it would be incredible to have Real Media play in Quicktime but as far as I'm aware, that doesn't seem very likely. I personally haven't encountered any problems with this application.
Ok, great thanks for the tip! I do have a suggestion. Can you add the ability to search for videos without going through youtube.com? Take sherlock for example. It searches ebay without going to the website itself. That would be great if you could implement that.
Would be nice to have the clips show in the application instead of having to go through the ugly youtube interface. The application is pretty nice except for having to run youtube in there.
Don't use this application! I tried it and i restarted my comuter and it doesn't let me log in! I have tried every single way to make it work. I know the password is correct so i used my install disks and reset the password. Tried fsck and still didn't work. i also tried to boot in safe mode but still same password problem. My last solution is to reinstall os x and hopefully that works.
