Apple Java for OS X Lion

There is a problem with the disk image!!! Hey Apple, are you going to fix this? I've tried downloading from multiple sites, using multiple growers -- same error. Doesn't anybody test these files before releasing them?

But how many people know what that message means? And that isn't what the message says -- it says that there might be something WRONG with the file. I've been using computers a long time and this is stupid.

Run a checksum? Shouldn't Apple be checking their files before posting? Shouldn't they be making sure that there are no potential problems with the files they are posting? How many people run Apple computers and don't have any idea how they work -- they just are trying to update their software and expect it to work. This message creates doubt, and then you have people who WON'T install this, and that is a greater security risk because the older version of Java is more vulnerable.

I'm not running Snow Leopard -- I'm running Lion. I don't have another computer available that is running another OS (Why do I need more than 1 mac?). I shouldn't have to cross check files because Apple isn't producing their files correctly. First, if Lion is warning against Java being a security issue, then the warning message should relate to security -- but it doesn't. It says that something may be WRONG with the file -- and for most people who use computers (especially if you're used to using Macs AND PC's -- that's a warning sign NOT to open the file.

Just my opinion...

Very complex preferences -- not for the average user to mess with. Didn't work after 1 day of use. Hot key would bring up window, but typing did absolutely nothing. Uninstalled after 1 day.

Apple OS X Lion

This update has actually slowed my machine down. Using Mac Mini 2011 with 8 GB ram, 256k dedicated video, and dual Core i7. This machine ran great until this update. Now there is a feeling of the system dragging; Safari is slow and not functioning right. Used Combo Updater, and re-installed using Combo updater. I am extremely disappointed with the last few updates from Apple. Damn, I miss Steve. This is CRAP!!!

Total crap. Using 2011 Mac Mini with 8GB memory, dedicated video card and 802.11n Wide WiFi on Cable Modem. Video is so damn choppy, reminds me of my G4. This is why I got rid of the G4, and video was fine until 11.1 and higher. What gives adobe? I should be having absolutely NO problems with the specs on this machine. Oh, and by the way, video runs clean as silk on Acer laptop with only 4GB and no dedicated video card on same connection. Another piece of crap for Apple products from the folks at Adobe. You DO know that Apple is one of the LARGEST companies in the world, don't you? Don't you think it is time that your products play nice on Apple products also? Tired of this crap!
