This is just a rar wrapper program. After you install the program and install their "Rar Tools" go to HomeFolder/Library/Application Support/RarMachine/rar, you will find version 3.80 of rar. The current version of rar is 3.93.

Just a rar wrapper program using an outdated version of rar.

This is just a rar wrapper program. If you go into the Finder, select the program sArchiver, right mouse click, Show Package Contents. Toggle Resources open and you will find a program labeled as just "r". If you double click this, it will launch Terminal and you will find out that this is rar 3.71 that is embedded in their shell program. The current version of rar is 3.93.

Now if you use sArchiver to compress something and view Activity Monitor, you will see that a program called "r" is running and using the processor while the archive is running.

Again, this is just a rar wrapper running an outdated version of rar that is embedded in the program.
