First impressions are everything, right? So I just downloaded this program to see how well it worked as a potential barcode reader for a small inventory database I'm working on. My first attempt resulted in capturing only one digit of the complete barcode. After that, it took about 5 minutes of constant barcode shifting in front of the camera to get it to even realize that I was holding a code in front of it. I've used Delicious Library for a long time to inventory books, etc. and found that its recognition of barcodes is far superior to this application's. Alas, since I'm not inventorying anyting that DL can recognize, I can't just adapt it and move on. I looked through settings to see if I could adjust anything to improve my performance. I found nothing at all that could help me. On first impression, I'm going to have to look elsewhere. I don't have 10 minutes to scan each item. I'd like to do it in less than 10 seconds. 1 second would be even better. This simply did not work at all.
