I liked it a bit better as a preference pane, but it's still a fine app. The only thing I'd change is that I'd like a check box to turn off the quit notification so a shut down can go through without needing attention like what we've been used to in the past.
It just occurred to me to check for an update. Guess it's been a while since I last did that.
Just to prove how great this app is, I've been using the 2003 version 1.1.1 for all these years, flawlessly. Glad to see NV is alive and well. I'll get the iPhone app next.
I have used the Speed Tools Hi-Cap driver since 2007. I recently upgraded to Leopard. The old driver wasn't compatible. I went to Intech to get a "free update for life".
No matter what I did with the links on their site, I kept ending up in a purchase scenario. My 2007 purchase is listed on my Intech account, so, even on their website, I'm considered to be a legitimate customer, eligible for an update.
I tried to email -- dead link. I tried to call -- the number was disconnected. It was a Sat. and I needed to get my system upgraded and running by Sun. So I decided I had no other choice but to go through a repurchase, and sort it out with Intech when they contacted me.
I received two emails - a confirmation and one from Eric Kelly . I replied to both, and here, two weeks later, have not received a reply from either.
I now have no choice but to dispute the purchase and question the legitimacy of Intech with Visa.
But as for actual contacts, customer support, or free upgrades, the product works well, the company and website don't. I paid twice now, for a product I should have purchased once. I won't do that again.
I'd recommend finding another product that does the same thing.
