I have had a good opinion of TT from years ago but in the few ocassions I have had any problem, using DiskWarrior seems the best option. In fact when I have rebuild the directories with TT, DW has after encountered problems. As I don't want to use a lot of utilities I use DiskUtility for the everyday testing and DW for the serious problems. Anyway, TT does a lot of things more: checks the RAM, the video, the processor, recover (?) files, create the eDrive for the few people that does have only an HD…etc. But for the moment, at $40 the upgrade I think I will let pass it out.
DVDRemaster is an absolutely imprescindible app for all people that have to manage video files. In tems of reducing the size of an DVD9 file to an DVD5 one it's simply the better, no doubt. Fast as no other app is. But there's many other features. In this moment I don't know if there is a trial version, but if it is so, you must to test it. I have used it for years and I'm very satisfied and it is each time better.
